Thanks, came off an 04 Comp. G Now what to do with my torque stars?

I know it's easy to replace, just wondering if it will let air into the cooling system. I don't think so cuz it's just for the overflow tank.

Torque stars are in decent shape, a bit of corrosion, considering all the salt they have probably seen. Tires have seen better days. You should be able to find a set locally though.

Went to the house after work to paint so I swapped the truck back for my car.

I missed the gp, but dang....I was getting to really like driving the Silverado.
Is it bad when I think a Silverado Z71 rides a lot smoother than the GP?

I also filled the truck up since I used some of the gas..... it was just above 1/2 a tank (11ish gallons)....cost me almost $40. That's a full tank in my car. I cried a little bit inside. I told Lee I would gladly keep driving it as long as he fit the gas bill, haha. I'm just glad that when time comes that I get a company truck, I won't have to pay for the gas. 13 mpg sucks.

Then I was reminded about how badly I need to finish aligning my retro's. Sigh....damn weather.

I'd agree that the silverado rides better than our cars.

Quarter Mile times for "Box Stock" Thunderbird SC 's:

    • With Manual Transmission: They run between 15.4 to 15.7 seconds at around 88-90 mph.

My previous ride was an SC (A/T, CAI, ran mid 15's easily), and I believe the latter would be the case.

    I see that 97-03 GTP's run 14.7 to 14.9. Still a drivers race.

I've noticed a strange buzz or whatever at times behind dash, usually when cold on drivers side.
Really haven't been able to isolate it.

So you used a can of compressed air and tried to spray gremlins out.
What kind of air stuff, where did you spray and was that your prescription for cure??

well it worked for a little i got in the car today and it was 23 degrees and it was there again im gonna give it sometime and ill try and spray them out. i just took the air you use for cleaning computer key board like the kind kids were dying huffing. and there is a vent right below the ignition in the dash and its real small and im pretty sure there is a little fan in there and it buzzes cause its full of dust. so i sprayed it. it worked yesterday guess well see more when it warms up. i think it has something to do with the climate control

4k miles in just over a month. And yeah it's not broken anymore. It'll be broken again eventually though. I always live up to my name.

Yes it seems so lol. You just have to think one, or maybe two steps ahead of what you've doing. Working on cars presents you with a thousand ways to screw something up, think or a few ways to do something before going with your first idea.

Did some prep work for my undercoating. Need to buy some POR-15. Also calling around looking to see how soon I can get a Muffler shop to do a resonator delete. Found one who will do it for 30 bucks but it will be a bit.
