Gotcha. I actually am planning to get an air compressor large size and air tools next year with an enclosed trailer. Already have the trailer lined up for a steal just needs 4 tires and so it'll be like I'll have a portable garage

Makita is a nice brand. I stopped at Home Depot tonight too. They still had some 26" 11 drawer Husky tool chests for $179. I picked one up. Its 3 pieces, but it is more than enough for what I need. My current tool box is overflowing and I really need to start adding more to my tool collection but have held off due to the lack of room. Now I can start getting more of what I need..
Blew the trans in the Northturd tonight. It lasted me all of two and a half weeks. I'll figure out what I broke tomorrow.
Don't we all. U should see how I store my tools...keep in kind its government housing. I share with two others in my room. Luckily the whole corner which is tool storage my roommates are fine with. Hence while trailer is in store for purchase along with a truck. I'll be on a truck hunt next year
How do you guys have so many tools? I got all my tools in a 2x2x3 tool box.
Addicted to Tool Trucks!! Lmao

I usually misplace certain tools and end up not finding them when I need them. Then replacing them and end up eventually finding the old ones.
I keep a what I like to call JY tool box that I just grab when ever I hit the pick n pull. Makes it much easier and quicker then going threw my normal box finding tools I'll probably need.
And I have a bad habit of losing that darn 10mm/13mm socket that we use on just about every bolt on our cars that it ends up being cheaper sometime to buy another socket set instead of just those 2.
I do the same thing got a junk yard box then the big one for the house. And you can never have enough tools lol.
Sad part is I would probably even have more by now by I had 95% of my tools stolen at the drag strip one night several years ago. I have more now, than I did then, but still.
I got this from home depot since it was on sale for black friday
On the left. I'm just using the bottom part for now, that's all I need so the top part stays in the box.
Regal held a 12' roll of carpet recently.
Toolbox.. Dan.. I require some organization. Plus.. 6 sets of wrenches gotta go somewhere. At least I've honed down my sockets to about 9 sets. I'll explain
Two drawers
1 set line wrenches
1 set metric polished
1 set standard polished
1 set metric flex head with ratcheting
1 set metric of those new Craftsman fits everything ones
1 set metric six point at the box end
One drawer
1 set deep 3/8 metric sockets
1 set deep 1/4 metric sockets
1 set deep 1/4 standard sockets
1 set deep 1/2 standard sockets
1 set shallow 3/8 sockets
1 set shallow 1/4 metric sockets
1 set shallow 1/4 standard sockets
1 set shallow 3/8 metric ball pivot sockets
1 set deep 3/8 standard sockets
Misc extras.. there's likely an extra 3 10, 13 and 15's.
A drawer of Pliers/cutters/needlenose/vice grips/and more in another drawer
A drawer of ratchets, sure there's favorites, but there's also one for nearly every type of job
Drawer of Nut drivers metric long and short
Drawer or two of Specialty tools
Drawer of Air tools
Drawer of prybars/aligners
Drawer of flat blades
Drawer of phillips
Drawer of picks and misc handles (trim poppers etc)
Then there's the side cabinet and the door area.
Goops
Knives
Measuring
Oh just broke (literally has it's own solution drawer)
Misc wiring
Sensors etc
Everything has a place. Although..there's still a few things that don't actually have places like the big pry bars
