I think I am about to whip out the clay bar and wax and give my 05 some love.

Changed the alternator and oil on my mom and dad mountaineer
It's not as "easy" to ignore on 04+ as it may be on earlier models. Every single time you start the car it brings up two warnings on the DIC. You have to hit reset twice every time. It get's old fast. If it were just a light that popped up on the dash then yeah, I'd probably have just let mine go too.
Well, to be technical, the ABS light is off because I pulled the bulb out. TCS Off is still on, but it'll get fixed. It's a OCD thing of mine, everything has to work, lol.
RIP Masami. Signed her over to the towing agency but i plan on keepin my eye out in the salvage yards to try to get her back someday. But i have my eye on a petty edition on the north dakota border fror $4000 with 98000 miles or one with 13500 miles for $13000. In like wyoming or something..

diagnosis time..
front pass. of the car.. every time i go over a crack in the road or a sealed one or whatever... there is a sound that comes that sounds like a jiggle... like something in suspension isn't right. idk how else to describe it. maybe the barring.
Other info:
the front pass tire is the one i destroyed on a pretty bad curve the other week and it maybe has come from that.
Car has a slight rumble to it while doing down the interstate (could just be that the plugs need to be changed finally) and steering wheel shakes slightly.-- shake started/noticed after hitting the curb.
abs light, tc, stable, lights all came on yesterday but nothing showing today all the times i've started up and driven.
In other news courtney did $5500 in damage to the scion when she hit a buck. Good thing it has full coverage.
I would love to see the slow motion of this because somehow the headlight was shoved behind the fender before the fender caved in on top of it. There wasn't a single piece of the headlight on the road. We pulled the entire headlight in pieces from between the fender and the frame. So the headlight was inside the fender, the fender inside the front lip of the door and the front door cannot be opened from the outside. The rear door suffered minor door skin damage and the rear hubcap was torn off and cracked. No frame damage, interior damage or a/b pillar damage.

Am I the only one who does this? If I have to move my car a short distance on a level surface(like further up the driveway a bit to make room or something) and the engine is cold when it's below freezing, I just put it in neutral and push it the 6 feet or so to avoid a pretty much pointless coldstart. (pushing on the pillar) I know cold starts are the hardest on an engine so I just push it. I just did it to make room for the trash since it's pickup night, only had to go maybe 6 feet further down the street. It's 20° F out there now, why start it to go that 6 feet. It just takes a little to break the ice loose from the tires but after that it's pretty easy lol.
Redipped passenger side wheel in plastidip. This time with glossifier damn it looms good now I gotta do the other 3 with glossifier
The gloss makes for a much nicer finish i must say. It looks much more professionally done

Where the biggest help comes in, is the increased voltage to coil packs and fuel pump.. The other things are just additional pluses. It's not the "stage 2" kit, where some aftermarket problems have occurred, and I would've done the free way, accept I'm way more comfortable plugging in something rather than cutting the harness... in case I ever wanted to go back.. and too hard to solder with the harness attached, so I'd rather not chance a dicey connection.
I don't ever do that for cold starts. But sometimes after I do an oil change or other work on the car I'll put it in neutral and push it out of the shed cuz my dad always needs the space to work on some hot rod or other. Its easier to just shove my car a few feet out of the shed than to start it. I guess im lazy like that.
Just came in from pulling the fuel rail and fixing a injector leak I found yesterday...it's only 20 degrees outside, lol.
good... all you south people can experience some MN weather.
I'm not complaining, I was troubleshooting my ABS\TCS **** yesterday when it was pretty much the same temperature. I keep finding things wrong, but it still doesn't work, lol. I don't even wear a coat unless it's below 30*F. I was born and raised in Phoenix though, so I've had my share of heat and enjoy the cold...except for the knuckle busters...those suck.
Fixed the old broken key fob with tin foil tape. Now I have a way into my car if ever I lock the keys in it. Which will happen eventually. Murphy's Law & all. Soo, Proud of me!
I see you haven't giving up on the polishing yet
