diggin the 210+ temp^^
You guys think it will look good on a blue GP? No tint on the windows.
You need tint fishbowl status isn't cool
Yeah I know lol. I'm just trying to keep it legal since I'm a cop magnet for some reason.
That's the thing, I don't do illegal stuff. No tickets so far either. Warren cops will just stare at me waiting for me to do anything. That's just how they are here.
Sounds like they want to touch you ^_^
Well tint will gender your appearance somewhat ls there's your excuse
dont go real dark, i did 2 light coats, gave me more of a cherry coke look if you will.
Yeah that's kind of what I'm looking for. I'll probably just do 2 or 4 light coats. I'm looking at these how-to's and they explain some in depth steps. It's like, sand 800, 1000, 2000, apply tint, waiting 15 minutes in between coats.(45 minutes) Then they say do the same sanding again, and clear coat 5-7 coats waiting 20 minutes in between. (hour and 40 minutes)
The key to making it look presentable is wetsanding....wetsanding!
Haha warren cops are a joke. They are all di*ks tho lol. I'm in Fraser, and they're horrible. Luckily I know em from my past n did some talks at schools with em n they know I'm doing good now and really don't mess with me though. But yeah, if they know your business, they'll keep messing with you.
dont do 4 coats even light it gets dark fast.
the way i did it was to scuff the tail lights with like 1200 grip wet paper, then used alcohol to to get any wax or grease off, then taped it off, around the edges, cleaned again with alcohol to get finger grease off, then hit it with 2 light coats iirc wait 10 minutes or so between coats, then waited that 10 minutes and hit it with clear coat, the stuff i used was a coat every minute, did 5 coats of clear, then let them sit 2 days and then wet sanded and buffed with rubbing compound to get the fine scratches out.
came out like this.
you can see how dark they looked before wet sanding the orange peel off from the clear. i was really starting to sh it a brick thinking i went to dark.
this is 2 coats and 5 coats of clear, still wet. not sanded yet.
this was how they looked stock.
That bumper
that bumper is now smooth at least, all scuffed up and almost ready to be painted.
Walking home from work today helped me realize how much I love my car. I also got to see, I mean hear a turbo GTO on my walk. Neato.
Installed new front wheel bearings, and diagnosed the ABS system to find out one of my rear sensors is bad as well. Yay.
