My gas mileage is decent, for some reason better than when I first bought the car.
Anyone use octane boosters? My uncle puts them in his gmc and swears by them.
I use regular gas, would putting in higher octane gas make my car run better or give me better mileage? I have a 2004 GP.
i got almost 27 to the gallon going 70-75 100 miles. I got 25~ going 80 on the way back in my 01
After installing a plog I got 350 miles on my last tank about 22mpg. That's up from about 320 per tank. I am happy with the results.
Dic said 18.7mpg, gas receipt calculated 16.1 mpg. About 70% city driving.
I already know that remote start does not count towards fuel economy. It must count towards the estimated miles until empty or that would be way off I assume.

Now starts the winter mpg degrade, hit 23 on my last fillup.
Around 17 in the truck on this tank still, went up north for deer hunting and lots of county and dirt roads. Mornings were below freezing or near it so remote start was used and coming home I got pounded by crosswinds the whole way. That sucked my mileage down.
I've driven mine about 120,000 miles in the past year. Just a random sampling from my log shows right at 25.1 actual and 26.3 shown on the digital display. That's about 80-90% highway but here in eastern KY that's also a lot of ups and downs. Mostly driving at 65-75 MPH. It's a 2007 supercharged Grand Pricks. Great car but at 180,000 miles it's ready for front hubs, tie rod ends and rear shocks. Going to do it this weekend and get it aligned before the winter tires go on. It's got to be reliable hauling drugs all over Kentucky. I do work as a narcotics delivery guy for a pharmacy and not some Colombian drug lord.
Going to post my MPG/question here vs start a new thread. When I got the 07 GP GT 6 months ago it said I was getting high 19's. Now it says 14.8-15. This car only gets driven 5-10 miles a day around a small town. Usually the kids to there friends house down the street or school. I did a tune up, factory wires and plugs, and sea foam treatment after I got it. Seems like the MPG is a little low to me but I don't have any code beside a 420 every couple months. Ill also mention I run reg fuel. So you think this MPG is because small town, short trip driving or do I have another issue? Thanks
I figured as much. Thanks
back when gas was gas and not this mixture ethanol confusing mess crud, lol (91 non-eth, 91 eth, 89 non-eth, 89 eth, 87 eth, 87 non-eth, ect.)
We should just go to like a 91 Octane standard for regular gas, would make things much easier.
Why did they ever stop calling it gasohol like in the late 70s? I thought that word was cool.
