Ive got ya beat, done roughly 155-165 miles and I'm just under 1/4th tank. I'll need gas in like 2 days prolly. I figure like 10-12 mpgs, 95% city lol.

My mpg has gone to **** lately. I have an 04 Comp G and I'm down to 21 mpg. I was getting 25-28 about a month ago. I think the cause is my cat.

I bad cat will do it but it'll drop your mpg way more then that most of then. Any cel? How about rotten egg smell? You gotta start troubleshooting somewhere. Could also be winter blend gas as well depending on where you live.

I live in Cali and yes getting p0420 code but no rotten egg smell. I know it's either the cat or 02 sensor

My money is on the cat normally a bad post o2 sensor won't effect mpg, it would just give you a cel. Yay Cali so that means it's not a real simple fix like just cutting the cat and welding on a pipe in its place so I'll recommend picking up a ZZP downpipe w/ a cat.

If anyone is slightly ocd like me, you might find excel kinda cool to keep info on gas mileage.

Some of the fuel economy's are messed up since I didn't keep every receipt, my bad. But it auto-fills in the total and the fuel economy(and it's always exactly right as to what I payed), and I'm trying to get it to do that to the miles per tank category too. I like it since it makes it easier, it does the math and I can keep track of it over time.

That's just excel lol. The spreadsheet adapts to formulas, so if you do the same thing like 4 times, it learns to continue the pattern on it's own.

Meh, I never cared that much. I don't buy gas often enough to care what mpgs it gets, I just know its always a low number unless its a long trip and I'll try to see how good I can get before needing fuel again.

I bought gas today becuase it dropped like 10-15 cents over the last 2 days, my low warning light showed up in the DIC as I pulled into the station. Was 2.95 for 87 and 3.31 for 93 and then of course it drops another 3 cents by night fall lol, but whats 30 something pennies anyway.

You should be able to read this, its 159 miles and if you do the rough math its 11.99 miles per gallon.

    It's legit.

Dang man, lowest I ever got was 13.2 mpg in the middle of winter, all short trips. The engine often never warmed up. Is your t-stat and o2 sensor functioning normally?

Yup its a 195 and new o2 as of this spring, no car problems at all.

Its the fact that I let it warm up before leaving work, my drive to work is 2.5 miles and its never fully warmed up. I'll hit 195-200 coolant temps about 3/4 of the way there and then just shut it down once I reach work. And if I go to the bank or grocery store, those too are less than 3 miles away and its just slow city driving. I never reach speeds over 50 mph going anywhere in town.
