My tails I tinted but I didnt tint to tint, I tinted to cover up some of that crappy whitish stuff. You can still see red when the car sits there with no break light or anything and you can see the reflectors in the tail light and I had my dad drive my car while I followed and at different distances they were visable. I also tinted my brother's Cavilier tail lights and that was just to tint to tint. I am actually surprised at how well that you can actually see the break lights on that.

If you're required to have 3 brake-lights, 3 brake-lights should work. Eliminating two of them and then relying on the one you have left for safety is just dumb.

DID YOU KNOW that in ALL 50 STATES tinting your headlights and/or taillights is ILLEGAL?
DID YOU KNOW that in ALL 50 STATES if you do something ILLEGAL and it causes an ACCIDENT it's YOUR fault?

Fancy that ****, I'm going to go rear-end some stupid mother****ers.
Rear ending someone is your fault any way you look at it. You should have been paying attention, stayed 2-3 cars back, etc. IF you rear end me and I have tinted tails, I'll get a ticket, you still get eff'd with insurance. Thanks.

Really? How about you explain the other extenuating circumstances that occurred in that case?

My tail lights are visible from 300 ft. I'm all set homie. Also, third brake lights are required by law in all 50 states.

You may be, but tell that to the rest of the idiots who think tinting tails means gobbing on vht and then driving down the road.

I'm just sick of jackasses whipping in front of me just to get in the lane they need to be in, then slamming the brakes and not being able to see the light.
I don't know about you guys, but I can see light before I can perceive a vehicle losing speed, and while it's within milliseconds of eachother, that makes a huge difference in whether you hit someone or not.

    False.
If your car is equipped with a highmount tail light, and all modern cars are required to, you MUST have 3 working tail lights. I've been pulled over TWICE in the last year for my 3rd brake-light bulbs burning out.

    REALITY CHECK TIME.
You live in Ohio, I live in Iowa.
Laws differ by state, which is another reason Ox's argument is dumb. 50 states doesn't apply to him, he's from Can of Duh.
Here, it's illegal to not have 3 brake lights if you car was equipped with 3.
If it wasn't illegal, it'd be an issue I'd have already taken to court.

Yea I just made mine out of *what I thought was* 18g steel. Turns out it was 20 but it'll still work just the same. i'll be epoxying them so they don't rust. The ones next to each one are the ones off the used bumper and mine are worse than that lmao. I'll be doing a few repairs on the bumper then sanding and prepping for paint. Have to weld a new panel to the bottom of the fender I pulled (rusted completely through where it bolts to the bottom of the car and rust extends about half way up from there). Gonna look at my current fender cuz that part isn't damaged and if its in tact i'll use that.... if not more fab! Then just gotta sand the new decklid and prep for paint. Gotta (re)do a repair on the opposite fender as whomever did the repair before didn't do it right because the fender rusted again and caused the body filler to crack. The front bumper cover wasn't prepped right when painted and that's why all the paint is flaking off like that. You can see the original paint underneath some of it lmao.

thats a 3rd brake light, i think the question is being asked in a more jackass sense, tail lights come in pairs.. BRAKE lights come in any number of combinations.

    Correct.
Assholes are just assholes. In most my references I said brake lights or referred to the high mount as a brake light. Once or twice I said tail lights.

Bingo! Although I call it "sarcasm".

    Asshole eh. Noted.

If you want to recite laws, you need to call your car parts by their proper names. You admit that you mixed em up, so my post was on the money.

Oh, did I mention my first post was sarcasm?
