Hello, my name is Zach and I have a 2004 grand prix 3.8L non supercharge
I have been dealing with a charging system failure error message for about 2 months now. I have replaced the alternator twice and the battery, cleaned and greased my terminals, replaced my serpentine belt, and I really don't know where to go from here.
My current sensor is on my negative wire around both wires I read something that said sometimes its installed incorrect and only around 1 wire but that seemed fine.
It will randomly drop me into battery saver mode, but if you turn the car off and on again right away it goes back to normal every time. Battery and alternator test normal. It's just concerning when I'm on the highway or something and I can't pull over to restart the vehicle, since if I keep driving in battery saver it will eventually drop me into low engine power mode.
Any help would be graciously appreciated I've read countless help articles and videos and I am just lost at this point thank you.
