I am looking to sell my car but I have no idea what to list it at. Obviously I can look at the Blue book but it may be worth a tiny bit more. Trade in value would be way less.

2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Supercharged. 219,302 miles.

****Triple Edge stage 2 transmission with 3.29 gear ratio, 3.4 pulley, 1.8 Yella terra roller rockers, 90# springs, ZZP front and rear power logs, ZZP 2.5” down pipe, 2.5 cat back exhaust, EGR delete, custom “cold” air intake, Both cylinder heads are within a few years old, 3 pod pillar with AeroForce gauge( has issues but works most of the time) PLX AFR gauge(digital readout doesn’t work) and digital boost gauge. Inferno hood (small cracks and plasti dip painted), GXP rear spoiler, Front and rear strut tower braces, Solid dog bone mounts, solid rubber engine/trans mounts, ZZP trailing arms, solid toe bars, matching tires about 6/32 left. Front Impala calipers with Powerstop pads and rotors, rear Powerstop pads and rotors around 50%+ remaining. ****

I will post more if I think of it. But I probably posted too much. It is hard to read. I haven’t sold a car in many years so I’m not sure what to list.

    Here are some pics.

2017 Buick Regal 2.0 Turbo (SOLD 2007 Grand Prix GT. Front and rear PLOGs, 1.8 roller rockers, CAI, HPTuned, 3.4 pulley, TEP transmission, 90# springs, rollmaster single chain, Impala front brakes d/s rotors.) Past (Pontiacs) Grand Prix- 97 GT, 03 GT, 04 GT, 04 Comp G, 78 Trans am, 92 Trans Am.

It would also come with HPTuners and a crap load of miscellaneous spare parts.

So, the general consensus is that, despite mods being expensive and sometimes labor-intensive... they decrease value, not increase. Most regular people will hear that the car is modded and steer away because it creates headaches down the road, and worries about mods that were done improperly. In most people's eyes, it makes the car less reliable... they're not thinking about improving factory flaws, or being more fun to drive.

The only time I'd consider playing up mods as a higher price point is if you were talking to someone who's already a fan of the platform and knows the value of what you're talking about, or maybe some boy racer types that will get psyched up about having a race car.

I say all this because in selling my car, I've met with 1 or 2 people who were interested because they know the platform and the value of what I have into it, and they were generally good with what I was asking for price, but for most of the potential buyers I've met, they get skittish when they learn it's modded, even though I went to great lengths to do it properly and reliably.

If it's rust free, and runs well I'd probably start at $3-4k, but be prepared to drop a bit... it's 14 years old and 200k+ miles is high no matter what kind of car it is. Talk about having a new trans and new heads, talk about the new brakes... if you want to, you can get a little notebook and maybe list all the mods down and how to find replacement parts for it to ease any concerns about having troubles, and show people you're being honest. That'll go a long way, for example down the road when they're at a shop getting new brake pads, and the 2007 grand prix pads wont fit the calipers and the shop technician is like ???.

Bundle the HPTuners and spare parts if you're talking to someone who knows these cars, otherwise sell it separately... if you have the OEM parts still, you can always demod and sell everything separately, maybe even get more cash out of it that way.

Thanks for the reply! Everything you said is dead on!!

I listed it on Facebook with all the performance mods thinking someone who knows the platform may want or have interest in it. I listed it at $3500. I really don’t need to sell it but I just wanted a bit more of a down payment for a new car. If it sells great. If not I just have another car. I have thought of parting it out but I don’t want to take up the garage or driveway. Trade in is only if I want to get rid of it for space since I won’t get much that way.

It ain't worth much to be honest especially with that kind of mileage. GXP is worth maybe 5-6k. Yours maybe 3-4k tops. As stated above mods actually hurt the value. Even us fellow enthusiasts who know all the work you have done to it still know the value and will definitely bust your chops over it lol. Its going to be a loss either way, but if your looking to make something back on it your better off de-modding & selling the parts then selling the car stock or near stock. 3800 marketplace on facebook is probably the best place to sell any thing related to these cars these days

I’d actually be happy to get $3500. Out of it. I had an offer for $2500 and a few payments but turned it down. I am going to hold off selling it until I save more for a down payment on a newer car. Probably a low mileage baby turbo Malibu or something. I’m not planning on modding the new one.
