This post isnt about a problem or question I have. Just wanted to share a good laugh.

Just before I put the GTP away this past winter, I had a humming/whine when Id let off the throttle. Sometimes there at higher speeds. Of course It came back in full force when I finally was able to pull her out in the spring.

Lately it had been getting loud. As a possibility that I just couldn't eliminate, I changed the drivers side hub on Saturday. Had some play in it both ways.

    Nope. Still there.

Then this past Monday, I took off from a traffic light and the car slipped harsh a few times, and afterwards the noise grew louder.

This brings us to yesterday where it seemed fairly quiet.... Until Im doing 60mph on the Thruway at midnight and my speedometer goes postal, bouncing all over the place, transmission jerking, not knowing what gear to be in. I shift it into neutral and everything calmed, showing 0mph. I coast off at my exit (luckily was real close).

I shift it back to Drive, okay cool it went in.. nope cant get out of 1st gear. Drove like this for about a mile until I had to stop. When taking off, my speedometer came back. Eventually I slowly got home.

Thinking about the speedometer & why it would do what it was doing, I realize metal could totally throw it off.. So i get up early today, yank out my speed sensor and wahla... sensor just covered in shavings. At that time I realized my differential was shredding again.. answering all of my questions.

So then I yank out the diff, knowing its not in good shape. Thinking, "I can get one today and be back on the road on Friday...."

    Nope, Ring gear is destroyed..

SO tomorrow she gets picked up to get completely rebuilt. A $1600 bill.. with only 70k, i was originally trying to be preventive.. Originally I found part of a roll(spring?) pin from my differential in my pan.. which made me change out the OG differential.. but had problems with installation. Which got resolved until now.

Todays moto is to never touch something thats not broken.

    Thanks for reading!
