My 04 gtp comp g just recently started to downshift when speeds 30 it skips 3rd gear and goes right to 2nd. It then raises the rpms and engine brakes hard. When accelerating it goes into 3rd just fine when going through the gears. Also no codes present. Need help Thanks!

Did you downshift with the buttons a lot? Transmission sounds screwed.

Hmm.. There's like different parts inside than the regular 4T65E. Parts I know nothing about. Hare you tried like Lube Guard or anything yet to see if it helps? The shift solenoids can eventually leak and get fluid in them.

Someone else like Brandon Hall might have a better idea about the internals. Chances are that hard parts have already been damaged, but I'm not expert.

How is your fluid level? Transmission fluid too low or too high does weird things to them. The only other thing I can think of is something messed up possibly with the valve body
