Did you replace it with an OE cam sensor? Sometimes even new ones are bad out of the box.

Did you check to make sure the magnet was still in the cam gear? Series 1 engines (never found in a W Body) were known to lose the magnet and usually it ended up in the oil pan. I am not aware that anyone has had the problem and the S2/S3 magnet was better. worth pulling the sensor out and checking that it's in place.

The magnet can be seen here at about 8 o'clock in the cam gear.

Im receving signal to and from sensor so it and wires are good...starts up every time could the crank sensor be bad? Or out of time...but do have full power no miss a wot

Time won't be off unless you took the timing set off and put it back together off a tooth or two.

Having a reading at the cam and crank both should compensate for any stretch.. which isn't much at high miles.

    Might be a crank sensor..
