Been a while since I updated this thread. I haven't done a whole lot with the car other then tear the rear bumper off to try and drop the fuel tank to drain it! Sadly the shop where I'm working on the car doesn't have a way to dispose of gas or freon.....go figure. So I've pulled the A/C pump off and moved it to the side until I get a way to drain the freon out and dropping the gas tank was the only option I had since the battery was shot so no jerry-riggin the fuel pump to run solo and feed a line into a canister. I should have taken some pics to show the progress so far but I've been busy being out of town one week and then breaking 2 caps off my back teeth the following weekend, so much fun! At least I got the rear of the car up on jack-stands ready for the tank to come out, just ran out of time the day I was working on the car.

A battery charger would give you plenty of power to pump the fuel. Heck..even pulling the battery out of another car for a few minutes would do the trick.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I'll give it a try with a battery jump/charger. When I tried using the 2 they had at that shop they couldn't even give me enough juice to move the drivers seat forward. Had to leave them on a charge over night and try it the next time I was there to finally get that seat out. If they don't work I'll just drop the tank since I've already got the car up. Heck, if someone needs a tank just let me know. I'll be trying to work on the car on Wed. since tomorrow is going to be spent getting my teeth fixed and drugged up at home. *yay*

drivers seat motor will take a lot more juice than a fuel pump with an open hose on the schrader.

PS.. the tank and bumper are not anywhere near each other.
