Ok guys I have i huge question. I just bought an 07 Grand Prix with the l26 N/A engine. I upgraded from my 00 GP with the L67 S/C engine. My 00 was falling apart body and electrically.

I want to rebuild my L67 engine and tranny and either put into a project car or save for a replacement if anything where to happen to the L26.

How much of a 1:1 swap would it be between the engine and tranny? I know I would need injector adapters, the drive by wire throttle body with adapter, the L67 axles and wheel bearings (I guess they use a different spline pattern.) Is there anything I have to do with the fuel rails?

Keep in mind I have a fully functioning donor car I was just going to unhook everything from the radiator and fire wall and drop everything out of the bottom wiring and all.

What would be the difficulty in that?

Also if I wanted to swap my gen 3 M90 into the top end of the L26 is there an adapter kit for that?

Top swap is completely viable BUT you will need a retune for the higher compression, and adapter for throttle body I believe. The L67 is cable throttle body and you will need throttle by wire. Also you will need appropriate MAF for S/C engine. The short blocks are direct bolt in, the issue on top swaps are increased compression ratio with the blower. THUS a tune or buying HP Tuner or finding an old DHP box and learning tuning.
Also adding water/methanol injection in my opinion (for regular driving use washer fluid, for actual racing or hard beating Snow Performance sells Boost Juice).
Injectors you should just pick up a set of 07 S/C injectors or one of the aftermarket kits.
Also headers and high flow down pipe.
Now if you scrounge up a Series 3 LIM and Gen V blower with DBW throttle body. Rest of the parts , I think can stay.
NOW BIGGEST ISSUE IS YOU Cant tune it as an 07. You may have to figure out how to use 04 or 05 computer and see if someone can make that tune work on your newer, unsupported car.
Only other possibility is having it flashed with S/C stock program from 07.
    LOTS of research is needed.
OH one other option would be to think about wiring it backwards to a tunable platform

Since I have the full 07 engine I would have the TB and injectors. I'm sure If I email ZZP they could tune my PCM. My 2000 has an unlocked PCM. Wasn't sure if there was any sensors or anything that would have an issue with the swap. Down pipe is a must with all of these cars. even without the swap.

Also routing of vacuum hoses and fuel rails. I have been trying to do research but have come up pretty dry. Theirs a lot of infor on the gen 2 swaps, but almost none on the gen 3 to gen 2 swap.

I would suggest that you keep the L67 and 07 GP separate, just because you could probably find a complete L32 for cheaper than everything you would need to buy and modify to make the L67 work in the 07. The L26 is damn near bulletproof, especially if it's been taken care of. So that L67 would sit for years and years before you even started thinking about swapping it in.

Find a nice, rust-free 97-03 with a blown engine or trans, GT or GTP, and swap the good L67 into that.

l26 has crappy rods they say. id use what you got, l32 are not cheap.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Kansas is W-body central, there are WAY too many all over down there. lol He really shouldn't have a problem finding one for cheaps.

And they are not that crappy, they just shatter into tiny bits instead of bending...

Well the other option is to drop the L67 into a fiero.... lol I just wanted to know my options because I have no intention of getting rid of that engine. I just wanted a backup plan just in case something happened to the 07. I plan on rebuilding the L67 no matter what I put it in. She's just gotten me thru way too much to let such a strong engine go.

Also finding a rust free 97-03 is hard around here. People drive them until they are completely falling apart. We drive the CRAP out of them!

The most likely thing to break in the 07 is the trans, and even then that's highly unlikely with the L26. I'd look for something that would be fun to put an L67 into...

There would be no reason to change the axles or hubs with just an engine swap
