I have a 2006 GP GT that does not have XM radio, nor is it wired for it. I purchased a receiver and a XM module from a 2004 GP GT, and also cut the connectors off the ends of the OEM end unit and XM module, in hopes of building a harness. I have searched high and low and can't find a GM made or aftermarket harness to connect the XM module to the OEM head unit. I do know that once I get this working I will need to send the XM module to a service place to wipe out the VIN programmed in the XM module, that Tech II will not wipe out the XM module VIN.
I have started the wire identification process and am in hopes that someone can help identify what these wires do. I have also purchased a SIRGM1 satellite t-harness that I will use to provide the pigtail splice into the OEM head unit and DC power to the XM module.
Any help with the identifying what wires do what and any other tips would be greatly appreciated!
