So it has a bored out Oldsmobile 350 and a Saginaw 3-speed manual trans?

Put a good Ford rearend under it.

Turbos win on the budget drag strip needs, supercharger is best on the street. Just my opinion. Get rid of the Olds engine if you want fast and cheap.

Hers a couple places that may have stuff for your car-

The reply can only be as good as the inquiry. Welcome aboard. More details=better answers. FWIW this is a front wheel drive forum, so... may not find much help here.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

I didn't want to be the first to say LS swap, but yeah... So many reasons why it's a good idea. It can be done really cheaply too, if you play your cards right.

LS4 with a Getrag, I forget what model bolts up to the pattern. You can disable DoD, if it's a DD I'd s/c it. It's some work but there is a Whipple that fits it.

I love the Ford Rear end suggestion.

I don't remember which LS it is but one is forged from the factory IIRC if you go that route spray is the best super cheap adder imo.

The LS4 is still a FWD engine, I wouldn't even want to use that in a RWD car like that.

Just find a 5.3-6.0 pull out that already doesn't have DoD/AFM and call it good. I'd suggest a cable throttle body computer from 01-02 if you do go that route. DBW requires more items like a pedal assembly to make work.

My apologies I forgot the Truck 5.3 had a different model assignment. Rest of my post is valid.
