Yeah I'll talk to the guy I bought my pulley from he was telling me about the 250 amp one but I questioned him about the charging system since it's a little different. He said it was $198 I think for the 250 amp. Do you have a Bosch unit
An engine is an engine no matter the size.... I think Dr. Seuss said that... or maybe it was Big Weld....

Well, I found a new Denso on Rockauto for cheap that will be here this week. The local shop was $149 for a rebuild and the brand new denso was 178 with a lifetime warranty. With the local shops hours and my work schedule lately, I might not have been able to get mine rebuilt locally any sooner than shipping will take. I still might run it by and see if they can tell me how much $ it would cost to repair mine to have as a spare.

I've amazon primed a couple of alternators. Fast shipping and easy returns. Parts stores get a little funny about returning electrical stuff but Amazon did not.

Just about everywhere else was $300+ for even garbage rebuilt units. Finding this one on Rockauto was a bit odd, but I won't complain. It's new so no core charge and I don't have to worry about someone who rebuilt it missing something.

I just got rid of an '06 Base model that had intermittent charging system failure problems earlier this year. One time while driving at 100km/h up a hill, all of the electrical shut off for a split second, long enough to reset the in-dash calendar to January 1st, spooked the hell out of me. But, as quick as everything shut off, it came back on again and I only had minor headlight dimming issues for the rest of the night. I took it into the shop and they were just scratching their heads. But it's good to know I wasn't the only one! I thought I was crazy!

Now I have an 07 GT... Fingers crossed it doesn't do the same.
