I'm just curious if it's even possible to acquire the DHP hardware and software anymore? I want to start tuning but I can't dish out $600 for HPT.
Is it possible to find the DHP stuff anywhere anymore?

yes, you can find the software easily, and you can get a new avt-841, which is the same as a dhp. I would email them and tell them what you are doing before buying to get their recommendation.

Can you get them used on say eBay? What does the whole lot gonna cost? Lol
I would be surprised if you found one used on ebay. you are more likely to find a used one on here. the device will cost about 300, and the software is free. the trick is getting the software to work with your computer. it can be done, but it takes some work. DHP went out of business in about 2005, so the newest car supported is like 2005, maybe 2006, I don't remember exactly when. that is also when the last software update was done.
Jezz this is starting to sound like a hassle lol would it just be easier to pay someone $150 for an in-car tune?
I just want to get rid of the bit of KR I'm having. I have ZZP PCM but it probably just needs some tweaks.
I just downloaded the software, anyone ever try it on windows 10?
Sweet! I'll have to acquire an AVT now lol
It's a piece of cake to install on a computer. You install the drivers for your AVT box, and note what Com port is displayed (normally 3 or 4), then install the software. After you install the software you install one registry key (double click on a file and hit yes), and copy one file. Install is done. Right click on the DHP shortcut and goto Properties. Under the Compatibility tab set it to Windows XP SP 3. Open DHP and tell it to look at the com port you noted earlier, and your are done.
Yeah it's a piece of cake to install I just relayed messaged from Booba to my IT friend and they had it installed on my computer in about 10 minutes... The AVT box is cheap about $253 shipped with the 3 analog inputs added too.
Jeff
So the AVT box goes in-between the laptop and OBD port correct? When you are using it of course
Correct. It plugs into a USB port on your laptop. Keep in mind if you use a different USB port the com port might change, most of the time it's 3 or 4 though, so it's an easy setting.
Awesome! Thanks for the help
Do I need the above hardware just to scan and datalog? Or can i get a USB to OBDII cable and plug laptop right in to datalog on some software??
the hardware all together is considered the cable. you need one cable that has an obd2 connector, then the box it self, there there are 2 more cables, one that attaches to the box, and one that adapts the serial cable to a usb cable. so altogether there are 4 pieces part of the cable. you need the whole kit and the software.
