I have a 2002 Pontiac GP that is ready for the bone yard. I had posted some info on the issue over at (http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...mode=1&smode=1)

and there was a glimmer of hope that it was just a crank pulley and the problem would resolve it self. I have come to the conclusion that it is an engine knock and will need serious involvement to fix.

Anyway, my mechanic has offered to rip the top of the engine off at no cost and dive into what might be the issue. Could be just a valve or something simple. He said that he could probably fix it for 600 if it was on top.
But i am not sure if i want to spend anymore money on it. I have already replaced the car so it is just sitting in my driveway at this point. What would you do if you were in my shoes?

    On the flip side --
So, I have basically a whole car that i am willing to offer out to the community at reasonable prices. If you need tail lights or headlights or bulbs or whatever. Let me know. I hate to send it the junkyard for vultures. It has a zzp pcm. new tires in front, 1 year old zzp 2.5 cat exhaust, less than 6 months on the zzp 2.5" dp. New headlights, etc.

If this post is in the wrong place, my apologies.
Although it says this is my first post, i was unable to recover my previous login info. Again, my only interest is offering it out to fellow enthusiasts vs. people that are just looking to replace a broken part at a junk yard. BTW, they offered me 100 bucks for the whole car!!

Thanks for listening or your feedback.
