I'm tempted to say eff it, lol it's not leaking, and I'll be replacing the valve cover gaskets later anyways... Lol

Oh, I didn't see his location. We don't have to deal with that crap around here.
It is what it is, it definitely not dirt or oil. I put the cover back on anyway. I am sure not going to scrub it lol.
news flash noob. this is a public forum, he dont need your permission to reply to your ignorance. this is also not "you're" thread. you didnt start it. you chimed in making your thoughts public.
if you cant take a little heat for your comments maybe the internet is not the place for you and your feelings? thick skin is needed to be here. i'll warn you now. we all get to take a beating here, even me.
Today was just not a good day at all. I received the 15757 Recall postcard today, just hours after my car caught on fire (down to a crisp) Yeah I'd say my recall notice came a tad too late
Well, the issue has been known for like 10 years now, proper care of the engine or atleast taking a look under the hood every now and then would have shown the leaking oil.
I tried to get the recall done but the engine is in another body and GM will not do the recall on the engine. Anyone have this done after a engine swap.
im sure you can buy the new cover and gasket form the dealer. but really, just watch for oil leaks and you'll be fine. this recall is really for those who never look at their engine, or ignore the sight of smoke and smell of burning oil. aka dummys.
