I recently got a bit of money and looking to use some of it ($2500 max) on my car. I'm thinking the S2IC from ZZP, 60# injectors, fuel logs , and 3.0 pulley . My goals are high 12s/low 13s and I already have 1.9 roller rockers, ZZP headers, Overkill Upgraded MAF/intake, and 3.6 pulley. Given my goals and budget am I on the right track or anything else I should be considering ?

Oh yea, not interested in the cam and e85 route.

Sounds like a decent plan. But the stuff used before new. That way you can put aside the other 1500-1700 for something else like maybe some trans parts.

Invest the money into something that can be worth something?? Like a 401k/ROTH or similar, it's honestly a smarter choice than dumping it into a car almost not worth the $2500 max you have to spend.

If you can't achieve your goal of 13's for under $1,000, just sell the car. It wouldn't be worth it to go further and at this point you have a $2-3k transmission calling your name at any minute, and then it's really not worth it. One wrong downshift and it'll blow this budget out of the water.

I know this is a harsh and semi mean post, but it's the reality.

    True words.

Also consider a backup GP, plenty out there.

I think you'll need to either port your TB or get a larger one like a north star, upgraded MAF, and a fuel pump from what I've gleaned from reading to support a 3.0, and i think 42 lb injectors should be plenty. I'd look at beefing up the trans after that. I think you'd also be safe to drop to a 2.8 maybe at that point

rockers injectors fuel pump rewire e85 3.2 maybe 3.0 simple no drama.

that could be done for way under 1k since you already have rockers and headers.

spend rest on or save for trans parts..... its not a question of if but when mr trannysauruswrecked pays you a visit!!! lmfao!!!!

I appreciate you looking out, I do have savings, investments, and property.

I have the ability to spend some money on my car if I choose to without being put in any financial burden.

I enjoy this platform and as this is my 2nd GTP I always wanted to have the 13/high 12 family car so that's what I'm gonna follow until I get bored with this platform then move onto something else that intrigues me.

Again, I appreciate the words of caution and respect you for looking out, but I am not done with this platform just yet.

keep on with the simple mods do e85 if you can and a solid transmission setup with dr's should get damn close if not into the 12s on e85 rockers gen5 if your still on gen3. gen5s are cheap too.

as others know from me around here just my opinion but id spray a car before intercooler throw them things away lol .

E85. . . There are a few local places that do sell it, but I have a few reservations. Would I need to replace my in tank filter/pump (that would be a pain as there is no access). 2nd, would 60# injectors be able to do it for me?

60# injectors is what id do. 42s work but personally id go for 60s leaves more headroom. 60s will need a tune people have used 42s without a tune before. (42s and no tune is kind of controversial) i have 2 pcms so i can swap back and forth between e85 and piss gas without using a tuner.

id use a rewire for the pump that boosts the voltage they are pretty easy to put in and a def a bigger pump if using the 60# injectors.

04 ups dont have an access cover for the fuel pump in the trunk right behind the seats? id be pissed lol id prolly cut a damn hole after having to drop the tank the 1st time.
