is there a write up on how to make it blue?
you just take it apart, replace the RED leds with BLUE ones. Simple if your good with small electronics
Well, isn't that different!! GLWS! A whole blue dash would be crazy!
Thanks, I honestly just wanted to see if it could be done and I happened to find an extra one out at the junkyard to crack open. I dont think that the buttons could be changed just because they are a red plastic but the gauges could be done also with an overlay im sure. Maybe if I find a digital hvac module I will mess with that next.

I saw a tutorial on changing the button and gauge colors. The plastic is white, with a red paint on it that can be removed with a distillate like toluene or maybe even acetone. Then you either just change the white bulbs to the LEDs of the color you want, or respray the plastic with a colored clear coat. The funny thing was that they couldn't change the DIC because it didn't use bulbs.
If it's just SMT LEDs... well I may be going green soon...
I searched before I posted before but couldn't find it or I would have posted it, but I do remember it was for Grand Prix specifically cause of the DIC. Also surface mount components generally aren't measured in MM. If 4mm = .157 I assume you mean they are 1608 LEDs? (.160x.080)
The place I ordered from had them in MM http://www.kingbrightusa.com/product...id=AA4040QBS/G
