Do you know if this IC will clear the hood for my 2001 Monte Carlo?

yes it should, it clears the hood in my 2002 GTP without issue. I believe it is right around 2 inches tall, or slightly under that.

Could you possibly get a measurement on the thickness of it?
And, did you ever pressure check the core?

get a stouffer's italian bread pizza, eat it, then take the box and put it on top the sc, slam the hood shut lol
or you can make a 2 inch tall block of putty or clay and shut the hood.
another member has the same ic for gen 5, it clears a 02 gtp anniversary hood.
i got a 2.25 inch core on my regal and it just clears.

Correct, I believe 1.9" core thickness. I did not personally pressure check it although I did run water through it to make sure I didn't see it leaking. Didn't run pressurized water though. Feel free to make me an offer!

Rob Silva's 04 CompG (with a 6/2003 build date) was the first car intense built a gen5 core for. at 1.9" the SC cleared the inferno hood

Clears my 2002 hood with the ZZP modded fuel rails running overtop without issue

that rail would be in my foam good, i made a custom rail that wraps around the blower. as it is, the bbv, the vac manifold tree on top and the spark plug wire holder on the snout all touch the hood liner. aka it just fits.Clears my 2002 hood with the ZZP modded fuel rails running overtop without issue
