Yeah, they warp and cause vacuum leaks.

But searching wouldn't have told you that since you don't have time to do that.

Click his name, go to profile, on left...ignore user. Done.

The short stack is like wishing you had a V8 and buying a 4 cylinder, it'll do something..but you'll be wanting more. Then you realize the hoses are a different size, and everything has to be changed to upgrade to a full size.

Sorry, guess my information is too good for you then.

Go buy one and then come back complaining in six months after it warps on you from heat soak or you use the Garlock gaskets they give you to install it and then that floods out your car because they leak too.

No skin off my back if you don't want to listen.

Just wondering.... but what is the point of all the sarcasm? Just about every post of yours I have read you are in some way or another belittling someone. You obviously have the knowledge to be a useful member of this forum, but you act like its an inconvenience for you. Here's an idea. If you read a post like this and it ticks you off, JUST DON"T REPLY! Pretty sure there isn't anyone holding a gun to your head. Did you see what Bill did there? Just answerd the question without any added comments attacking the OP? Did he mention the search function? Would it have helped anything if he had? I thought this site was started because there was too much crap goin on at another grand prix site? Where do you think this site is slowly heading? I joined up for information like most othere new members, and have slowly found myself being dragged down into the gutters to "troll" other peoples threads. Well time to step back and take a look at yourself. You wanna be a nice guy and share your knowledge, or just be a d!ck? :::End Rant:::

Its the internet, don't get butt hurt because of how Blue replies.

Besides if you're part of any forum for a long time the same topics get posted all the time and it does get annoying. The search feature really is the best thing.

So get the full intercooler or just go without one?

whats your reasoning in going with the SSIC instead of the S2/3?

reason I ask is because if it is a price issue, alot of people over look the meth option... probably the same or better cooling effects as a SSIC but way cheaper, easier to install (IMO), and more reliable...

food for thought... but yes with the IC option it should really be S2/3 or nothing... even IF it fuctions 100% fine the performance to price is not worth it...

"the meth option"!!! since when did drugs play a part in cooling off the car?

    sorry couldnt help it...

another reason i dont see a point to the SSIC is if i have to mod the fuel rail might as well go all the way and make the room for a full one. now if it fit without modding the rail then i can see where this might be an idea for some. and no spacers dont count. like if the SS fit inside the SC and LIM and was not visible... that would be cool... you would need to mod the LIM so that the lines came out.... stealth IC.

The SSIC does work but not nearly as well as a full size, I was considering one since I don't want to go to much farther with the car but I may as well get the big one.

I've always wanted to play around with a spare LIM with something like that.

It doesn't work? Didn't know that.. learned something new there.

I know it worked regular member to member. Lots of people had success with this.

I had a SSIC on a previous GTP. It was OK, but left much to be desired. It was the older style so I had difficulties getting it to seal just right. That issue has since been resolved according to ZZP. From personal experience I would hold out until you can afford a fullsize IC. Don't get me wrong any IC is better than none, but afterwhile you will want more than what it can offer.

Money really isn't the issue. I was just looking at installation problems. If the short stack is just going you warp over time then obviously thats a no go. So is there any problems (long term) with the full size ones?
