I always reference this video when it comes to glass cleaning and prepping. Larry does such a great job showing this technique. It simply works.
Here are some glass cleaners that I have used that work very well. They all clean the glass.
Mothers Revision - I picked up a sample product at a detail car event. It may or may not be available at the local store. It works great. It cleans the glass very well.
Stoners - This is always a crowd favorite. It's another great glass cleaner.
Meguiar's Perfect Clarity - This is another one of those that may or may not be available locally. I can only find this at O'Reilly. Also works very well.
Meguiar's D120 Glass Cleaner Concentrate - This is is available online and comes in a 1 gallon concentrate that is diluted 10:1. It's the most cost effective of the bunch. It has a nice scent to it. It cleans very well. I recommend to pick up the detailer bottle for it as well as it has the dilution mark on it.
Detailer's Pro Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner - As of right now this is my top glass cleaner. It's cleaning ability is top notch. The con with this one is the price.
Adams Glass Cleaner - I just picked up a bottle of the new formula glass cleaner. So this one is pending.
All of these are safe on tint.
Like Larry's video, I like to coat the glass with something so that it repels water and just makes it easier to clean. It also helps with visibility in the rain.
Rainx is the common glass sealant. It works well but it's properties fade rather quickly. So applying it routinely is recommended. It can last about 3 months. I have used Rainx and it does work.
