To start off I don't use cleaner waxes that often. These are often referred to as an all in one (AIO) product. The clean, polish and protect. There are quite a few on the market. These are great for those times when a quick detail is needed. They do a good job but a dedicated product will net better results.
I did however use Meguiar's White Wax. It has the most cleaning/correcting power of all the cleaner waxes that Meguiar's offers. It does have their so called SMAT (Super Micro Abrasive Technology) abrasives. Meguiar's has come out and said the abrasives in this product are the same type as used on their M101 foam cut compound. It doesn't have as many as a compound but it has a good amount to do some very good correction.
It can be used on any color vehicle. It's not just a wax for white or light colored vehicles. It is a carnauba based wax. Use it 3-4 times a year and one's car will be protected and cleaned.

It can be used by hand and dual action polisher.
I use it with a dual action polisher. Here's the beauty of this product. It can be used with a finishing pad to just apply it with a wax. Move up to a polishing pad and it can clean the paint and remove light defects. Step up to a cutting pad for even more correction.
I personally use it like a compound when using it with a DA. Apply about 3 dollops of product on the pad. A little larger than a pea sized drop on a pad. Apply it to the paint with a few passes to work it into the paint. Remove the product. No need to let it haze. I repeat that all the way around the car. At the very end I will do a final wipe with some Meguiar's D156 (which is the bulk version of Ultimate Quik Wax) to add a little more protection. Prior to any work I wash and clay the paint.
Here I used it with a cutting pad on black paint. This truck was constantly taken though a drive thru car wash with brushes.
Before
After. 3 Passes with a DA yielded these results.

Sun shots. White wax did a fantastic job.
Gives a great shine
It's not perfect but it sure did a good job.
Cleaner waxes like white wax can be hard to remove from the foam pads. I use automotive all purpose cleaner to soak my pads. I will then rinse out as much product as possible. With white wax I had to use dish soap and my fingers to get it completely out of the pad.
