What is the best way to repair burns on the seats? I was thinking of upgrading to leather seats but is very expensive unless you do it yourself. That I am not sure I could do.

97-03 leather seats are cheap, just look.
EBay, Morad, classifieds here, CL...etc
I don't see why you couldn't get a complete set, front and back for $300 or less in good condition.
I was looking in to more getting the seats taken out and having leather installed replacing the fabric. Haven't found many good looking or good shape replacement seats for my car yet and regular seat covers look so cheap because they never fit good. Unless you have any experience with the leather like seat covers? I seen custom ones for 200 but afraid to spend that on something unless it is a good fit
If you're concerned about the fit and look, then definitely don't go for the leather like seat covers found on eBay. A friend of mine got them for his F150 and they don't fit snug and they weren't cheap. Save your money with those and get some from a junkyard if you can find them.
Find some 04+ GP seats they're much better then the prev gen. Personally I like the look and feel of OEM interior more then something that is custom.
Not to mention you'll get free heater coils in the OEM leather seats, he. you just need a switch and possibly wiring. I got lucky and already had the fuse for the heated seats, and sure enough the wiring is in place from the factory
