I have one of these filters on my car right now. They work great. They are dry flow so that means on oil to mess with your maf like some of the other filters. Here is a link to the filters Tell me a product number and I can shoot ya a price! https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/eaau.aspx I can also get drop ins for stock air boxes. Thanks Nick

You really shouldn’t perpetuate the MAF myth. I have run a K&N in every car I have owned for almost 20 years now, including two GPs spanning the last 8 years. And I have had exactly zero MAF failures. The fact is MAFs go bad, and mechanics love giving people a reason to sell an over priced paper filter.

That being said, AMSIOL seems to have great products. I might buy some oil from you in the spring.

The only reason that people have problem with the oil is that they over oil the filters when they clean them. Some MAF cleaner solves that issue fast anyways. I haven't ever had any problems with K&N filters in the past few years.

That is the problem. 90% of people probably do over oil the filter. I have used k&N filters in the past too

Just let me know when you need it. I have been hooked on amsoil products since I ran their 2 stroke oil in my sled. I have never been let down.

Ya, I have read many times on the excessive re-oiling theories. I personally wouldn’t give them much credit either. IMO the whole myth revolves around a couple facts.

#1 People refuse to believe any sensor can fail over time, doesn’t matter if it’s a MAF, O2, MAP, speed sensor, etc. So they need a “cause” and what better than one “caused” by the owner with a sticker “proving” it right in your face. Even on this forum in the last couple weeks ppl get MAF codes and a CEL, then ask the forum why their car isn’t running right! And how many wheel speed sensor related posts come up a week on here? Like 10?

#2 People screw up even the easiest of tasks. I would believe that during the act of installing a filter(any filter) they bang around the MAF physically breaking it. These would be the same people who can’t manage to change their spark plugs without breaking or cross wiring them.
    Anyway, that topic is killed.

I have been a Castrol man for just as many years as I have used K&N, but like I said AMSOIL has pretty much universal good hype. I’ll let you know Nick.
