Truthfully they look just the same. I had a long standing fight with RockAuto over the ones they sent me, Got the solid motor mount, but 2 hydro tranny ones, wasn't expensive but wasn't what I wanted.
The only way to tell is to hold it in your hands and shake it, if you hear sloshing around, its not solid rubber.
Unless you go with the ZZP Poly ones and they are just square mounts that don't move.
Give this a read through tho, not all Solid Rubber Mounts are actually solid rubber. Clicky Clicky
TLSheff, I used to think that worked, and it did let me know my motor mount was hydrolic, but that's just due to improper filling (an air pocket in the cavity). I shook my transmission mount and it had no noise at all. Drilled into it out of curiosity, and BAM, just like you mentioned, in spite of being "solid" it also had hydrolic fluid. And I ordered the solid ones specifically. Even Rockauto can't tell apparently.
Drill every mount to check. If it's hydrolic, the link TLSheff posted shows a great and easy way to make them solid. If it really is solid, you can just use the window weld stuff to fill the hole you drilled and have some peace of mind.
Treat all those mounts with suspicion. Companies love to sell the hydro as solid or mess up and just can't tell the difference.
