02 Grand Prix GT. Started squeaking whenever I go over bumps. My first thought was strut mounts. After some crawling around and having a friend bounce the car up and down, it's coming from somewhere near the subframe towards the front of the car. Suspension is fine. Then I thought it was the subframe bushings, after some internet homework, that wasn't it. What else could be causing this?

Sway bar links were replaced last year. Sorry for not adding that into my post.

    Maybe control arm bushings?

You could try spraying them with wd40 or something and see if the noise stays or goes away.

Welp, took me 5 mins to figure it out. Bought a can of WD-40, sprayed the first thing in sight, lower control arm bushing. All is quiet now! used to be embarrassing and loud. Now the question is to have a shop replace just the bushings(both sides) or buy new front lower control arms with the bushings and ball joints already in? I'll likely go this route since I don't have a press nor have access to one. Rockauto here I come.

If you are fairly close to me I'd swap your lca's out if you buy them for $40

20 a side, thats a deal. better then a shop would charge, and you'll get to see how its done, maybe help and learn.

What in your guys opinion is the best lca to go with? Excluding zzp, what would you recommend if price isn't that much of an issue but longevity is key
