hey guys i dont post much but i've been messin around with the steering wheel positions lately to get a different feel for driving my grand prix, as you know there are about 5 positions where u can lock the wheel in place ranging from high to low, i usually drive at the 4th or 5th position, now what i want to know is if any of u guys mess around with the position of the wheel or feel a difference in driving if you do move it, it's just been floating around in my mind and i figure its a chance for me to post something and actually know what im talkin about since i dont know anything basically lol

I don't know my setting, but it was perfect when I first hopped in so that's where it's staying for the time being!

I like my wheel low and out of my way. I also sit back in a slightly reclined position (not so far back it feels like a dentist's office). I put it on the second from lowest position.

i put the top of the wheel level with the curve of the dash.

i put it up and down everytime i get in and out of the car. no one else does this and it bothers me when someone else drives my car.

i also prefer the steering wheel lower but it sometimes hits my knees for i am about 6'2, but when the wheel is in the 4th position i find it easier to turn the wheel

The lowest position that my legs don't hit it, yet it isn't anywhere close to blocking any of my gauges from a comfortable position. Usually the top of the wheels is even with the curve of the dash over the gauges, from my point of view.

I usually put mine so the top of the wheel just covers the top of the analog speedometer (I use the HUD usually). The general rule is that your wrists should be able to touch the top of the steering wheel when your shoulders are against the seat. This gives you alot of movement in the wheel without having to take either hand off of it.
