Just noticed that my 02 GT has started pulling to the left slightly. It's bad enough to where I have to counter-act the left pull by turning the steering wheel a bit to the right at all times.

I'm guessing it's a wheel bearing out? Here comes the stupid question: being that it is pulling to the left, does that mean the left wheel bearing is out? Or the right? What is the easiest way to check?

Lift the front of the car and try to wiggle each wheel. Play up and down= wheel bearing. Side to side = bearing or steering component.

Well, a car doesnt just pull to the left for no good reason.

Did you happen to hit anything lately?

    Possibly rotate the tires recently?

    Under-inflated tire or tires?

Tires in good condition (good tread, normal wear, not seperated) etc etc.

Possible brake caliper sticking on that one side?

A wheel bearing isnt going to cause the car to pull one way or another.

There are so many possibilites to this problem.

Wheel bearing can cause the car to pull. I speak from personal experience.

Haven't hit anything lately. No long trips lately either. Mostly just short drives to and from work. If I'm going to do any spirited driving, I'm gonna drive the GTO for that

The tires have about 70% tread left, just changed the brakes this spring, so I don't think that is the issue either. I have to put my winter tires back on soon anyways, so I'll play around with both sides to see what I can find.

I agree, My jeep started to pull hard..I thought It was a brake hanging up....about 30 seconds later the bearing broke and It really pulled then. Lol

My car did the same a while back, but to the right. It was the passenger aide bearing. I've been threw 4 wheel bearings between both sides since owning the car. Bad luck I guess.
