    hey all,

been browsing around the threads and reading a lot. this is what i am thinking about going with:
    2004+ FE4 package Excel-G struts
    Vogtland Sport springs
KYB dust covers and bump stops

Are there any better springs out there for this refresh? the car has 109k miles and riding rough from crappy roads in DC, Hawaii, and Cali. Im not going for a full slam drop, just a little cosmetic look, and mostly for slight stiffer ride and no more bouncing when going over speed bumps. Second, which other hardwares should i get for mounting these up? I see they offer lower mounts and a slew of other parts...what is essential? was considering getting a fat front sway bar ad greasable fittings (new LCA's and what not, stockers suck!)

Getting a feeler out there, seeing what needs to get done vice a want to get done. looking for that feeling that the GP is on rails again...its WAY off now lol. Just for springs, shocks, and dust cover/bump stops, its like 550 bucks. Also looking into swapping out brakes to larger units, 2 or 4 pistons if i can find cheap.

Much obliged with all your help!

    Nate

    Excel is fine
    Vogtlands are fine
Reuse stock bump stops and boots.
If you want to upgrade front sway bar go with a Dorman usually runs round $70 or so off amazon ill chime in later with a part number.
Don't forget Monroe strut mounts and get a set of pogo washers from Zzp while your at it.
Also most of us will get a set of vinnie spacers which basically put the cv axle back into it's correct position.

Correct. Excels are the cheapest/best stock replacements for our cars. The springs you could always go other choices like SSC....but Vogtlands are just as good and since u more of a small drop I think Vogtlsnds drop it the least amount end yes Monroe > kyb for mounts.

so, which other parts are absolutely necessary for a swap? other than springs, shocks/struts and mounts of course? it was recommended to reuses stock dust covers and bump stops...so i guess i will do that, if they are fine.

This is some good reading. It has part numbers for the struts and bumpstops.
