I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT 3.8L that sounds like an airplane when at speeds. Sound seems to be a little louder when turning as well. Car sounds normal when idling. Any ideas what this could be?

You have an intake?
Take a video?
I will go and try to take a video now. Thanks for the quick reply.
This is a silly question... Could it be the tires on the road?
A video will probably help if the recorder can pick up the sound. Need to narrow down if its actually engine, trans, or if it might be tires. I had an old set and they made my car sound like a dam hummer running down the road at 45mph+ highway speeds or faster was like a dam jet engine spinning.
Here is a little video. You can hear the noise when turning left and while braking. I dont think it is the tires as the car just started doing this. Sorry i am new at this stuff.
that is a hub bearing that is bad need to replace it what way does i get louder when u turn right or left
i would prob say if u had the cash do both fronts but really only need to replace the one that is bad at the moment
Seems to get louder when i turn left. Would that mean it is the drives side hub bearing?
Rockauto.com - Timken Wheel bearings. Buy 2, replace both. You won't regret it.
To test this, jack the car up and stabilize the car on jack stands. Grab the tire with one hand on top and one on bottom and see if you can rock it back and forth on top and bottom. If it feels loose and will rock the bearing are going out. If you can rock it left or right you may/maynot need new tie rods :P Just a check while you're there.
Thanks for the help guys. Went on rockauto.com and and ordered parts. I really appreciate the help.
Yup definitely hub bearing.
