If you use the f-body calipers do you also use the rotor? Front and back!?!?!? What would the smallest tire/wheel combo you could use?
Just asking so I can put these notes in my little book. I couldnt find much on this in the how-to section.

ok. why not the rear? are the calipers the same size? and just to clarify, I can use my stock wheels with this upgrade?
yea yea yea I know. shut up right.
First off the torque stars will fit cuz thats what i was running for a while and second of all if u want to do a rear brake upgrade there are 2 options a GXP swap or the bear big brake upgrade. Both over priced new for what they do but if you can find a GXP rear setup at a junkyard for under 300 id def do it. Stopping improves some, not a bunch but i still noticed a difference, and it looks amazing with 12" rotors all around.
Well grand prix GXP have 11.7" rotors while stock are 10.9. Its the same kit that the w-body store sells. the rear GXP caliper clears the rim by about 2 mm maybe 3.
In 2005 is when the GP GXP came out and it ran until 2008. so between 2005 and 2008 and yes that is the rear setup. A lot of times I've noticed on junk yards they've listed the part as a GXP but I've called and they listed it wrong. It jus takes some time an research to try to find a set from a junkyard and you might have to buy the front and rear all together. The fronts are a 12.7" rotor and require a 17" rim to run them but it still should be cheaper to buy the front and back then sell the fronts if you don't run 17"s year round. Thats actually what I did.
Thats because rock auto and every other parts warehouse stocks the wrong part. Theres actually a post about that on clubgp lol. You just have to trust me on this one. Don't go to an auto parts warehouse off the internet unless its GMPartsDirect or the W-body store for this setup. Or of course look on car-parts.com and call the junk yard before you order the part.
Also another easy way to tell if its actually a GXP rotor and caliper is all stock rotors for that car are drilled and the calipers are made by PBR.
Sorry i havn't been keeping u on this school works been killing me but for the fbody question here's the answer

There are improvements. rear gxp can be run with the torque stars, crosslance is a no, Im actually running the torque stars and it u want a pic of the clearance i can do that let me know. The price of 600 at the wbody store in my opinion is not worth the it for the improvement you get but if u can find it for like 300 it is. also front GXP rotor is a 12.7 inch and will not fit stock rims. it requires a 17" one. hope this helps
