Will the Bilstien struts from a '07 comp G fit onto a '00 GTP sedan?
Yes. But there is no such thing as an 07 Comp G. And Comp G's didn't come with bilsteins. Only the GXP's came with bilsteins.
My bad, guess they are from a GXP then!
FYI the bilsteins will raise the car up than any of the other struts.
Really? Even with lowering springs? I've never heard of the strut raining the car. Is it longer?
Yep. I just put SSC's on my car with Bilsteins. The bilsteins I bought new have ~10,000 miles on them. And with the SSC's, it's just barely lower than stock height. Lower yes, but not much.
My car weighs about 4000lbs, the curb weight I found for a GDP it ~3600. Why does it sit so high? Mine is a sedan, is yours a coupe?
Do you know the weight? I think mine is heavier than a gxp, so why would it be higher on my '00? How much should they cost used? Theses are $100. Good deal?
2000 Grand Prix = ~3366 lbs
2006 Grand Prix GXP = ~3600
And are they $100 each? How many miles?
my GTP weighs ~4000lbs (weighed at the track, 3998 with full interior, two 10s, and me (250lbs).
no it's $100 for all 4.
27k miles.
i got the cash lol i just don't want my car lifted haha
From what I gathered, the bilsteins raise the car about 1/2" - 3/4" with stock springs. One guy said it raised the rear 2" and the front 3/4" with stock springs. With lowering springs it may not sit as low as you are now.
Bilsteins aren't longer, just a better monotube setup
Get some Intrax springs and you will sit lower
