Thread: Monroe Econo-Matic strut assembly???

I'm planning on changing the struts out on my 99 GP and was looking on RockAuto for complete strut assemblies. They carry Monroe "Quick Strut" assemblies (~$118) and "Econo-Matic" assemblies (~$78). The Econo-matic is described as "similar to the Premium Monroe Quick-Struts, but at a more affordable price." I'm not looking for anything other than to replace the old worn out struts with something that will keep the car driving stable for another few years.

Anybody ever used the Econo-Matic assemblies and if so, how'd they work out?

i have em on the back of mine cuz i had em in stock at work. they ride nice. just like stock

Yea, I know they can't be too good......as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I'm not looking to do an upgrade on this, just want to replace the worn out stock struts with something that will get it close to original for as little $ as possible. It's for a college kid's car that will only see about 4-5K miles per yr over the next 3 years. After that, it's most likely headed to the bone yard......
