When running Poly bushing is it recommended to also install sway bar lateral locks? I know i have seen them on at least one Grand Prix while doing my sway bar research.

04/05 have a completely dif bar. You can use the dorman if you swap to 97-03 lcas and brackets

Why are the gmpp bars on zap and wbody store 18mm but everyone including gm parts direct says 19? Are they different bars?

^ I was wondering the same thing. I'd assume their specs listed are just wrong or they measured themselves.

Its 18mm. I ended up getting mine from summit racing and I got 19mm poly bushings and they ended up fitting about a mm lose

Odd. I measured the rear one on my 06 with a digital caliper, and got 17.4mm. but it's apparently hollow

If you get the control arms for the b police car/cab then you can use the other sway bars. I have an 05 Comp G and went to the 34mm GM bar in the front.

Hey guys I have a stock (as of right now) 99 GT with about 260k on it. Pretty sure i had water getting into the engine cuz the coolant kept magically vanishing from my radiator and holding tank and after i let the old man play with it it wouldn't start anymore. swapping out the engine and tranny from my 1st car (about 90k) I put in the ditch about 10 years ago. Since I have the engine/tranny, out I am getting ready to replace the LCA's, sway bar, ball joints, tie-rod ends, and pretty much everything else that "needs" replaced while it is easy to get to. I have already replaced all four struts, disks brakes, hubs and rotors while it was still running and am getting ready to purchase the sway bar and LCA kit.

My question is this,Are the ZZP 38mm sway bars more for heavily mod'd boats that have been lowered and have fun pullys and junk? it's not that much more than a for the thicker bar, but I dont want to let my expensive taste come back to haunt me when im putting everything back together and i run into clearance issues or the holes on the end for the link be different dia. or the stud be to thin and snap from the thicker bar or something.... then I would have to hear from my old man what an idiot I am...he may be right...but still ...Any advice?? Thanks!!

new thicker bar will make any car handle better, no matter lower or modded. stock you will feel it.

That's what I was thinking as well. It just seems like almost all the products on the ZZP site for the 3800 series are catered more towards the GTP's and more "competition" vehicles. I'm not bad with a wrench, but I am nowhere near as experienced as some of you guys on here. If i'm gunna spend the money to buy new parts I figured I would go all out and get higher quality stuff rather than just replace with stock parts.I just didn't want to go overboard on expensive parts and regret not sticking to same size stuff when things started breaking or didn't fit since I was changing certain component sizes I've read through hundreds of these posts and threads and have retained some extremely valuable information from you guys. I wish I would have joined this site about 10 years ago. Thanks the quick responses!!

dorman sells a 33 mm bar for about a 100 give or take, depends where you buy it. replace the bushings with poly and your golden. no need to give zzp money lol

I'm with Scotty save some money and go with the dorman bar. Its really nice and a good upgrade over stock. Its 78$ on Amazon with bushings and endlinks although I would also get poly bushings and endlinks. You can find those on Amazon for about 20$ https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0026...crL&ref=plSrch

Here is a link to another post with a photo of a 2004 front anti-sway bar, which is connected to the front strut, not the Lower Control Arm. It appears to be either a 20mm bar.

I know this is an older thread but it looks like Moog now offers a 33mm front sway bar as well.

    MOOG K170001

MOOG® Solid Sway Bar Kits include the sway bar, sway bar links and bushings, along with new mounting brackets and hardware. MOOG Solid Sway Bars offer improved durability because they are made of solid, forged steel rather than a hollow design, reducing the likelihood of breakage due to rusted welds. Moog Sway Bar Link Kits install easily and are built to last.

    Features:
Durable E-coat black coating resists corrosion
Solid forged steel construction resists breaking
Includes Problem Solver Sway Bar Link Kits and Sway Bar Bushings, with Synthetic Fabric Lined Bushings where applicable
Includes new E-coated brackets and new hardware for corrosion resistance and easy installation
