hey guys, i have a grinding noise that just developed yesterday. If I take a hard left turn or cut the wheel to a hard left while pulling into a parking stall a loud grinding noise occurs. I did a quick search online and it was suggesting possible CV joint issues. I'd like to get GP expert advice so I posted here. I have an '04 GTP Comp-G if that helps.

    Any thoughts?

Could be bearing in your cv shaft. But it could also be your wheel bearing Jack the car up on the side that the noise is comin from, and try to wiggle the rim top to bottom if it has alot of play it's your wheel bearing

Thanks guys. I appreciate the initial assessments based on my minor description.
TimmysGTP, I'll give that test a try to see if it is indeed the wheel bearing.

Just because the bearing does not have play in it does not mean it wont be noisy.

Mine never had play when my HUB was broken.. I going to guess that any "play" would mean that your HUB is completely destroyed. I could still drive fine but when turning left (like wade described) my front right would make a noise..

noise means the grease in them is gone, no grease leads to complete failure of the hub.
