So I just got my Springtech springs in today and there was no paperwork regarding cutting of the bumpstops.

I know with Eibach's you cut 20mm off the front one but I'm not even sure what you're cutting.

Is it in the mount or the rubber deals in between the spring and the strut?

    Thanks

this is a picture of some bump stops:

now, you may not need to cut yours. run them for a while and see if your car rides on them or not. when you hit your bump stops you'll feel like the car is bottoming out. if that is the case, trim the bump stop a little and see if it still reacts the same.

the problem with trimming the bump stops is that the bump stop helps to make large bumps less harsh. the more you trim it, the more harsh a bump will be when it ends up hitting the bump stop.

good luck, let me know what you figure out and maybe ill add it to the lowering thread.

Between the right and left do you know if they are top and bottom or are they front and rear?

Also do you know if you cut the tapered part or the flatter part?

im not 100% sure, so dont quote me.

i believe you would cut the non-tapered end because the tapered end faces down and stops the struts movement upwards. therefore, you leave the tapered end to contact the strut body alone and just shorted the overall area it covers.
