I have a 97 Grand Prix SE and the ABS is acting up really bad and i dont really want to spend the money on fixing the abs, is there a way to disable it so the brakes just work with out it? I checked the fuse block, and there is not a fuse for the abs......

Well I have bad wheel bearings, and my abs acts up for a minute...then throws an ABS code...and the ABS light comes on. After that it quits working.

Sounds like a chance to take. You just have to take the wheels off to get to the plug. If it acts up...connect them back.

I wore through the wiring on one of my hubs, and my ABS hasn't worked for about 2 years. Which is essentially what you would be doing by unplugging it.

    also try searching
