my buddy is selling his drilled and slotted rotors along with his alipers... I was wondering if the rotors would fit my gp or would the bolt pattern would throw it off? Feedback is appreciated

The bolt pattern on a Trans Am is different than on a Grand Prix. You might want to double check to see if it will fit. Hold one of the rotors up to one of your wheels and see if the lugnuts will line up with the holes in the rotor.
Not trying to argue, just asking since I don't understand, but how does a different bolt pattern fit over our hub? Are the holes ovalled to fit different bolt patterns or do the F-body rotors have two different sets of holes to fit different bolt patterns?
They're the exact same bolt pattern.
Thats an issue you're making up.
Holy **** balls, they're different.
They're 5x 120.7
This makes no sense now.
GP's are 5 x 115. But ever notice how much play there is around the lugs with the holes in your rotors?
Apology accepted. I try not to talk out my *** and look things up if possible. There is play around the holes but I don't know if they will make up that much difference. What is the diameter of the hole for the hub? Most rotors fit snug on the hub to hold them centered and this could be an issue as well.
im fairly certain that the impala uses the same rotors as the F body's yet has the same bolt pattern as the GP as well as the same hub size.
Apparently internet forums are not the only places to find disagreements on this subject. I went to rockauto and looked up rotors for both the Trans Am and the Grand Prix and looked at the drawings provided by Centric for the rotors on both of these cars. They match every spec except outer diameter. However, they show both rotors having a 5 x 4.65" bolt pattern which would be about 5 x 118mm. Maybe your idea about the holes being a little larger to accomodate two different sizes is dead on? Anybody have first hand experience trying to fit F-body rotors onto a GP?
this makes sense... i was under teh impression i had F body rotors on car when i bought it... they have alot of play in them but have worked fine up until now. the powerslots i just bought and havent installed yet looks like the holes are smaller. and i bought for 2005 monte
F-body rotors and the 00-05 impala/monte 12" rotors are the exact same. Same part number and everything.
The holes are drilled with a lot less tolerance then the wheels.
