How would I be able to find out that info on the springs....

the first post in the thread has all of the information you're looking for. or the second, which is where the spring rates are.

I have the opportunity to purchase eibachs. Are they harsh on a DD? They will have GR2s brand new and new kyb mounta with new solid mounts and spacers. What is the progressive versus linear? They say they are a 1.3 drop so why are people saying they are a two inch drop? They are a good price though. I just ha e the torque stars on there now. Thanks.

had eibachs on my regal GS loved the drop and look of them hated the AGX struts with them that sucked balls IMO if you use GR2s I think youll be fine others can say what they want I will never use AGX struts again.

My Eibachs rode fine. Progressive just means that the spring rate changes as the spring compresses. They start out soft then get stiffer. Linear springs have the same rate no matter compression.

So one of my strut towers has about a inch or two of rust coming through. Only rust on that vehicle. Will that get worse with the eibachs? I'm always cautious of bumps and pothole. And I'm going to sand it down and paint before I do that strut. Its really not as bad as some of these peoples towers.

it shouldn't get worse, but while it's all apart i'd do my best to clean it up and make sure it's not a structural issue with the car.

Sand it down and coat it? From the top its really not that bad. What would you recommend using?

sand it down real well and use something like POR15 to completely eliminate the issue.

otherwise if it isn't bad any old paint will do. you just want to seal it so it doesn't rust anymore.

I'd weld a small plate/patch in that area to give it strength back and then seal it up good.

Thats what I did on my car before lowing on SSC springs.
