Which do you think is a better suspension upgrade: trailing arms or a strut tower brace?
I dont know about you, but my front end will plow through corners.
I hear the sum of the contributions of both front and rear STB's is greater than the sum of their individual contribution. Do both front and rear or nothing.

I also hear rear STB's are for what people call "week-end warriors" and that they're a little overkill for street applications.
How so? It makes sense since the stock trailing arm is pretty weak but a little explanation would be nice.

Well, for what it is worth. After installing a strut brace, I haven’t noticed any change. So I voted for the trailing arm.
the beefier trailing arms will stiffen up the rear end. the STBs (i had both front and rear) only help so much with body roll. i really didnt notice them a ton when i had them put in.
And i've already got the GMPP sway bars--they are noticeable. But I'm in the process of going to 12" brakes and I'm trying to decide if I should do the trailing arms or the STBs next. My gut is telling me trailing arms, but I want to know what others think.
I'd go trailing arms with that recent information.
The stock arms are stamped steel, GMPP are tubular.
Please tell me you're not buying through ZZP?! They take the GMPP handling kit and seperate it to make a few extra bucks.
All honestly, STB does nothing noticeable. Sway bars and trailing arms is where it's at
Ok...I think I'm gonna do the trailing arms based on what I'm hearing. And when I get to the STB, I'll probably do the GMPP one. What's the best place to get just that bar?
The junkyard... Montes and Impalas have them stock. If you're lucky and find a 9C1 Impala than you can get the entire GMPP handling kit for like $40 haha
Junkyard is where im going to look for a STB since i got my SLP Swaybars sitting in... My trunk for a matter of fact.
I'm gonna try the junkyards, but that is always a dead end. I live in Helena, MT, and every damn person up here drives trucks and there are almost no newer cars (last ten years) in the junkyards here. It really sucks, especially since I used to live in Denver where you could find stuff at good ol' pull'n'save
Ok, I selected STB's, but only if your existing trailing arms are not rusted to the point that the strength of them is compromised. Buying new trailing arms would only be for piece of mind unless like I said, they are extremely rusted.
