When i am slowing down and the wheel is turned to the left slightly i get a really loud rubbing noise. (sounds like metal on metal). There is also a noise when i turn left at slow speeds (20mph or less). I just replaced the wheel bearings about a month ago and have not had time to get an alignment. Could this be the issue?

Didn't think so. Any suggestions on what it may be?

If the hubs are new, I'd inspect the suspension. Look for any worn out bushings on the control arms. Other than that, it could be one of the axles.

I just answered a question similar to this one. If the sound is coming from the front, then its most likely the ABS Bracket rubbing! I have a 97 and I had the same exact problem, and it seemed louder when backing up and turning. So, my dad and I took off the front 2 tires (it was happening on both) and we noticed that the abs brackets were kind of in the way, especially when turning the wheel, they would get smashed between that and the brace under it. We worked on them by turning the wheel all the way one way, looking to see where the bracket was touching, bending it out of the way and then doing the same thing with the other wheel until both were no longer touching anything the noise is all but gone now!

Well after replacing one of the wheel bearings because it was bad 2 months after replacing it and the struts it is still making the same noise but not as bad. Also when going over bumps at around 5-7 mph i get a squeaking noise or like an air noise coming from the front left (sounds like a leaking air shock). I am at a loss to what it is. I have had the suspension checked multiple times and no one seems to find anything wrong.
