Does anybody know if there are any aftermarket torque strut mounts possibly with a built in shock? The stock setup tends to wear out the bushing quickly and lets the motor torque. The setup actually mounts from the top of the motor to the top of the strut on my 04 grand prix gtp supercharged. Thank you for any information.

What about different bushings such as polyurethane, or anything to solve this re-occuring problem?

which bushings are you talking about here? the front dogbone mounts? if so, zzp and intense make poly inserts for them but i would stick with intense. i have the square and round mounts by intense and cant complain at all.

if youre talking the lower motor/tranny mounts zzp makes a poly trans mount, but ive heard of them breaking.

The bushings on my 04 GTP have worn out twice. When I replaced the motor at 87,000 (rod problem), the used motor that I installed (new to me), had relatively new torque struts on it, so I used those. Sounds like they are shot again. I noticed I can purchase the bushings. Are those easy to pound in or do I need a press?

    Cheers.
