Ok so my GTP rides like absolute crap now after only having it for a little over a year (damn IL roads). It has gotten to the point where it's almost unsafe. It wanders, pogo's over bumps, torque steer is insane, every little bump is really harsh, etc... So I went ahead and got some used Koni's to go along with my lowering springs that have just been waiting to get put on basically since I got my car. What else should I replace while I'm at it? I only want to have this thing aligned once.

Check your control arm bushings, New inner and outer tie rod ends, strut mounts, seats, bump stops, upper insulators, and you might want to get some pogo eliminators to go with your lowering springs.

My car has 126k and after doing all those things listed it drives like new.

All the above plus you may want to replace the hub/bearing assemblies.

Ok I don't have too much more money to play around with so I need to try to do only the bare minimum lol. I'm thinking strut mounts, pogo eliminators, any bushings that need replacing, and possibly new inner and outer tie rod ends. Couple questions though, how can I tell if a bushing is bad? And do you guys think that my ball joints might need replacing too?

if you are doing tie rods you should probably do your ball joints too, But its not too hard to check them out. Jack up the front fo your car, and try and move your tire in diff ways, then take off your tires and inspect all your rubber's for cracks and rips. I am in the process of changing my tie rods and balljoints right now, on my 98 gtp, and its not much fun. the original ball joints are rivrted in, so I gotta drill and grind and punch them out, thank god the new ones are bolt on!

**** that sounds like a lot of trouble getting the old ball joints out lol, oh well it'll be worth it when I'm done .

Upgrade to heavier duty tie-rods. rockauto.com has a nice selection of heavy duty tie-rods for the 04+ as well as heavy duty sway bar endlinks. this is for the 04+ but im sure they have something for your year. Moog is know to beef up parts as well.
