Im not on here much but im getting a bunch of money coming in so with it getting nice i gotta put it in the car... now i know this is probably a question everyone is sick of hearing(im on other forums and hate those noob questions) but mostly its always on a 97-03... i want to lower the car and improve the handling to be alot better... this car just has to much body roll... i want to keep the price of everything as low as i can... i dont want to go cheap and have crap but i dont want to be buying everything top of the line...

so whats everyones opinion on what parts need upgraded and what aftermarket parts should i get

    links are appreciated

Well i'm pretty sure that if you want new struts for the front you're going to have to get the 97-03 control arms, same with the front sway bar. But as for rear suspension I went with kyb agx struts, GMPP rear sway bar, SSC springs all the way around, and a front strut tower brace from zzp.

Here's a side view of my car after the springs were put on.

Here are links to where I got all my parts from:
    Sway Bar
    SSC Springs
    KYB AGX Struts
I also went with shorter dogbones and anti-pogo washers from zzp. Yes, unfortunately I'm still on the stock struts in the front, I'm hoping to change it sometime over the summer though.

well thats a pretty good stance... you notice anything wrong with the front stock struts still on?? do you take any turns hard??? if so how much of a handling diffrence you get... and those are the 17 inch rims right?

No I don't really notice anything wrong with the front struts, they still seem to do pretty well. There is a pretty big handling difference from stock, you dont get anywhere near as much body roll through corners, and the car doesn't squat as much when you get on it. Yeah those are the 17" rims, here in about a month they will be powder coated a black chrome.

I drive an 05 and im in the process of upgrading to a GM Performance Parts Handling kit minus the front sway bar(I dont want to switch to 97-03 CAs), which includes Front and Rear strut tower "braces," and a rear sway bar which is currently installed. I can already tell a noticeable difference in handling with just the GMPP rear sway bar, but I have not upgraded from stock springs. You can obviously see the difference those SSC's make on Clar's ride. God thats sick Clar

haha thanks, I wish I could come up with the money for some new wheels. But for now I have someone that will powdercoat the heels I have now for $100 for all 4. I can't realy pass up a deal like that. When I get the money I'll go with some 18's that are lighter.

I LOVE that style of rims. If you ever decide you wanna sell em to help finance a net set, please keep me in mind!!! They would go to a good home, for a reasonable price of course
