    I am needing to do the brakes on my GP & there is plenty of good info on the pads out there for our cars, but what is everyone's recommendations on a good set of rotors without getting into all the larger upgrades? I realize everything is manufactured in china now

    One of the ones I keep coming back to the durago electrophoretic rotors. I like the way the coating sounds, it appeases my bling bling craving with the black centers & black vanes that match my black car, but there isn't a whole lot of information out there on them. Has anyone here actually used these rotors?

    I usually just stick with R1 Concepts rotors and a set of their scorched pads.

    Never heard of DuraGo rotors before. Might have to check those out.

    They are listed on rockauto. The company has only been around maybe 15 years. I was also looking at the Raybestos specialty street performance rotors too though they are more money. I know Raybestos is usually good, but again not a whole lot out there on those specific rotors.

    I've seen a number of the fellow members on here like R1 concepts, but I personally don't trust anything like that on ebay. I will admit I was tempted by the Powerstop Z23 kit since they have a rebate going right now, but after all the reading I've done I think I would prefer to stick with a good solid rotor over a swiss cheese one

    r1 concepts ebay page. run ya about 200 for all 4 corners. they have the standard will rust rotors, drilled and slotted and the e line that dont rust, to the geomet all black rotors, they do cost more. make sure you get their scorched ceramic pads with what ever rotor you buy.

    I've done more brake jobs with Napa parts than I can count, I rarely if ever have a single problem with them.

    They too have several tiers of rotors. The non-coated premium rotors, then there are the zinc/e-coat or whatever rotors that are heavier duty and they have a new Reactive Rotor that is a slotted wave rotor. They don't make that one for every vehicle though, don't know if they make them for these cars.

    all my napa's got bought up and turned into a car quest or advance auto, same company. only good part is the old napas places still have the books to search for parts by vin and the old employees, what happens when they all leave is another story.

    i put napas on my '08.
    the rotors can be turned,too.

    Good call on the napa's. Their rotors are made by brake parts inc who own Raybestos and they appear to be the same. I'll have to call over there to see what their pricing is compared to the Raybestos with shipping on rockauto
