I would say that is OK to do. Run it close to the rack-and-pinion. Just be careful not to put the line where the sub-frame might pinch it when going over some huge bump. The subframe doesn't really move but still....

If you're still having trouble with fittings and unions, got to a junkyard, hack up some lines and take the unions/fittings off and use them on your new lines.

I didn't even attempt to run the pass front line like stock. That was the first one I replaced, ever. Ran it high along the top of the firewall and down to the caliper. Been good for like a year. Don't think you can melt a brake line, maybe just rubbed through from movement?

i would pull the old line and make a new one. just pre bend it to match the old one. makes sure its clipped in place.

or you can just cut the line where its been rubbed through and put a compression fitting on it. then re-secure the line.

If you made your own, why'd you place it so close to the exhaust? Anyways, get more line and route it higher on the Firewall. This shouldn't be an issue.

That's how I'm gonna do mine. It's a nice easy way. By the way do ya have the 3800 series motor?

Ok so the grand prix uses a bubble flare but the only tool I can find is the 45 degree double flare tool. Can I use that tool to make the bubble flare?
